Tony's Greek Island, Friday afternoon [NFB for distance]

Tony had flown Steve, Patriot and himself to their Greek island as an apology for forgetting to emerge from the lab for the first part of the break between classes. (The Greek island had been a gift for something else. Steve tried not to think about it too hard. Sometimes he had to let Tony be Tony.)

The weather was hard to complain about: 80 with bright sun and a light breeze, perfect for laying out next to the pool wearing nothing but a smile (after going for a long, clothed, hike and having a big lunch because Steve had to be Steve, too). Sunscreen had been applied because even the super serum couldn't completely counter the Irishness, and Steve had a book about World War II that was getting enough wrong to keep him entertained.

Mmm, vacation. He tilted his head towards the door Tony had disappeared through a few minutes earlier. "How are the margaritas doing?" he called out.

"Limes don't juice themselves," Tony replied, bringing out just oversized glasses with them. The dog was busy floating in his own, personal pool with a Captain America themed floaty.

"I feel like there's a 'yet' there," Steve teased.

"I wasn't allowed to bring anything to make that happen." You cruel, cruel man.

Steve laughed. "I trust your improvisational skills," he said, holding his hand out for the glass.

Tony kissed him as he passed over the drink. "Thank you, dear."

"Thank you for the drink," Steve said, kissing him back.

"I'm trying to trick you into skipping the welcome picnic tomorrow," he teased.

"Depending how strong you made this, it might work," Steve teased back.

"I can always make more," Tony said solemnly.

[heroic_jawline]

"You genius," Steve said, laughing. "Pull up a chair and get some sun."

"Don't have to ask me twice," Tony said, stretching out on the chair and adjusting his sunglasses.

"You look very at home here," Steve said with a smile, taking a cautious sip from his drink. Tony tended to make his strong.

He was mixing for a supersoldier here!

"I do enjoy getting sun from time to time."

"I like being warm," Steve agreed. "The winter was cold this year."

"We'll spend more time here this year," Tony promised, leaning over to look at him .

Steve blushed. "I'm not sure not having tan lines is entirely worth this."

"I think it is," Tony said, lowering the glasses to appreciate the view.

"I'm not tattooing your name on it," Steve said teasingly.

"Cruel man," Tony sighed as something dinged on his sunglasses. Which were, of course, also a HUD.

"What's dinging?" Steve asked.

[imafuturist]

"Sunglasses." Not a normal thing, Anthony. "Incoming aircraft. Rapidly incoming."

It was, in fact, now visible in the sky as it was swooping in.

"Energy signature identified. Advanced Ideas Mechanics."

"That's not good," Steve said, launching himself off of the lounger and instantly regretting the nakedness.

"This is why I should be allowed to bring the armor on vacation," Tony said as men in yellow beekeeper looking uniforms opened fire on them.

[heroic_jawline]

"This is why I shouldn't let you convince me to sunbathe naked!" Steve said, kicking over a outdoor table to serve as a shield.

"Fair," Tony sighed. "Keep them off my back?" Tony said, hiding behind his surprisingly durable pool chair. Or not so surprisingly considering their lives.
