Tony's Greek Island, Friday afternoon [NFB for distance]

Tony had flown Steve, Patriot and himself to their Greek island as an apology for forgetting to emerge from the lab for the first part of the break between classes. (The Greek island had been a gift for something else. Steve tried not to think about it too hard. Sometimes he had to let Tony be Tony.)

The weather was hard to complain about: 80 with bright sun and a light breeze, perfect for laying out next to the pool wearing nothing but a smile (after going for a long, clothed, hike and having a big lunch because Steve had to be Steve, too). Sunscreen had been applied because even the super serum couldn't completely counter the Irishness, and Steve had a book about World War II that was getting enough wrong to keep him entertained.

Mmm, vacation. He tilted his head towards the door Tony had disappeared through a few minutes earlier. "How are the margaritas doing?" he called out.

"It's old fashioned," Steve said, smiling.

"Don't tell anyone, but my husband is pretty old fashioned. It suits him."

Steve leaned in and kissed him, old-fashioned and earnest, cupping his hand around the back of Tony's head to hold him close.

"Now I really like it," Tony sighed, resting his forehead against Steve's.

Steve smiled. "I think you're swell," he teased.

"Swell," Tony repeated, all fondness.

"Swell," Steve said, nodding.

"I hope you're proud that I haven't made a swelling joke."

"I was waiting for it," Steve admitted.

"I'm being romantic!" While for sure thinking about bawdy jokes.

Steve kissed him again, smiling. "I appreciate it."

Tony kissed him back, cupping Steve's fave in his hands.

"I always thought mile high club would be more frantic," Steve teased softly.

"Maybe if we were fresh off the fight," Tony said. "But with you..."

It was sweet. Even after so many years together.

Steve smiled. "You want to linger?" he guessed.

"Always," Tony agreed.

Steve leaned his forehead against Tony's. "I love you so much."

"Love you too," Tony murmured,enjoying the moment there.

Steve kissed him again. "But if we don't move this along, we're going to get a dog staring at us."

"Oh, bossy now," Tony replied with a grin, grabbing the abandoned lube again.

"You love when I'm bossy," Steve said, smiling back.

"I do, I do," Tony murmured.

"Show me how this club works," Steve said.

Tony leaned in to kiss him, pressing the bottle into Steve's hand as he pushed himself up onto his knees. "Help me out."

Steve smiled, kissing Tony slow and soft. "Gladly," he murmured, warming the lube between his fingers.
