Tony's Greek Island, Friday afternoon [NFB for distance]

Tony had flown Steve, Patriot and himself to their Greek island as an apology for forgetting to emerge from the lab for the first part of the break between classes. (The Greek island had been a gift for something else. Steve tried not to think about it too hard. Sometimes he had to let Tony be Tony.)

The weather was hard to complain about: 80 with bright sun and a light breeze, perfect for laying out next to the pool wearing nothing but a smile (after going for a long, clothed, hike and having a big lunch because Steve had to be Steve, too). Sunscreen had been applied because even the super serum couldn't completely counter the Irishness, and Steve had a book about World War II that was getting enough wrong to keep him entertained.

Mmm, vacation. He tilted his head towards the door Tony had disappeared through a few minutes earlier. "How are the margaritas doing?" he called out.

Tony snorted. "Oh, sweetheart. I don't need to stock up. I can make almost anything into a bomb if I really try."

"I probably shouldn't find that as attractive as I do," Steve said.

Tony laughed and leaned in for a kiss. "Pants. And then I'll... contact SHIELD."

"They can take care of those two under the table," Steve said.

"Pants. I'm not sharing you with any government agents," Tony said with a poke of his finger.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve stole another quick kiss. "Pants," he agreed. "Two minutes."

"I'll give you a minute before I call," Tony said with a grin.

Steve laughed. "I'll make it."

Tony snorted and let him get a head start before reluctantly calling for someone to come pick up the trash. They were going to have to spend the summer renovating here to get it up to snuff on defenses.

Well, more time in Greece was good, right?

Steve returned in a pair of shorts and a too-tight t-shirt. "Are they inbound?"

"Ten minutes out," Tony sighed. "I really liked having this apart from the rest of our lives. You know?"

"I know," Steve sighed, wrapping his arms around Tony. "They've messed up the safety."

"But I'll be able to make a landing pad for the quintet now." That helped cheer him up a little.

[heroic_jawline]

"You've wanted to do that for a while," Steve agreed.

[imafuturist]

"It'd make getting here easier," Tony said like it'd definitely been a talking point before.

"Maybe a little," Steve said, capitulating slightly.

"Reinforced walls and maybe some defensive turrets?" Just what a vacation home needed!

[heroic_jawline]

"Turrets?" Steve repeated.

[imafuturist]

"Defensive turrets!" That helped, right?

[heroic_jawline]

"I don't think we need defensive turrets," Steve decided.

Tony gestured out to where AIM agents were trying to haul themselves out of the water and onto the rock shore as their ship slowly sank.

"I think a rock could work too," Steve said, glancing down appraisingly.

"I'm not building a trebuchet, Steve."

[heroic_jawline]

"Your tactical turret could be a trebuchet."

"You're testing me." Was it because he made an improvised explosive device? Was that it?
