Tony's Greek Island, Friday afternoon [NFB for distance]

Tony had flown Steve, Patriot and himself to their Greek island as an apology for forgetting to emerge from the lab for the first part of the break between classes. (The Greek island had been a gift for something else. Steve tried not to think about it too hard. Sometimes he had to let Tony be Tony.)

The weather was hard to complain about: 80 with bright sun and a light breeze, perfect for laying out next to the pool wearing nothing but a smile (after going for a long, clothed, hike and having a big lunch because Steve had to be Steve, too). Sunscreen had been applied because even the super serum couldn't completely counter the Irishness, and Steve had a book about World War II that was getting enough wrong to keep him entertained.

Mmm, vacation. He tilted his head towards the door Tony had disappeared through a few minutes earlier. "How are the margaritas doing?" he called out.

It wasn't a $400 million flying palace, so Tony was showing restraint!

"Maybe Yahtzee."

Steve was rubbing off on him! Also, it was an older quinjet. So, autopilot fun times.

"Did you stash those on the plane, sweetheart?"

"Of course," Steve said. "And a deck of playing cards."

That last one was true.

"Remind me to find better games," Tony said with a laugh, letting Patty down in the jet.

Patty raced down the aisle, leaped into a seat, turned around three times and fell asleep immediately.

"Well," Steve said. "Guess an armed invasion really tuckered him out."

"Lucky man," Tony murmured, leaning in for a kiss.

Steve smiled and kissed him back, resting his hands on Tony's hips. "Should we take off first?"

"We should get moving before SHIELD gets tetchy," Tony sighed. "You want to get us airborne or should I?"

"You can," Steve said, thinking that Tony could probably use the grounding that came with being in control of his own fate and technology.

Well... that felt like a personal attack. A very accurate one too.

"Go sit," Tony said with another kiss and a tap on the rear.

"Don't take too long," Steve teased.

"Don't fall asleep on me like the dog," Tony called back before getting the flight plan logged and going through the channels to take off here.

"Have more faith in my stamina than that," Steve said with a grin.

"Maybe you need to prove it to me," he teased.

"Put the plane in the air first, Stark," Steve said.

"Yes, dear," Tony said, taking off in classic Tony Stark fashion and probably upsetting SHIELD a little. Or a lot.

Steve laughed in delight. "Checking the way the plane can handle inclines?"

"It's always important," Tony called back.

[heroic_jawline]

"Very true," Steve called back. "The seatbelts are holding, and Patriot's still sacked out."

"And the jet is officially in the hands of JARVIS," Tony said, setting it to autopilot. Well. AI pilot.

But a good, "knows how many r's are in strawberry" AI.

"C'mon back and keep me company, then," Steve said.

Tony pushed himself back, away from the cockpit to go join him. "Well, hello there, handsome."

"Going my way?" Steve asked, grinning.

[imafuturist]

"I certainly hope so," Tony said, pushing him back against his seat to straddle Steve's lap.

Steve sighed happily. "Hi."
