Tony's Greek Island, Friday afternoon [NFB for distance]

Tony had flown Steve, Patriot and himself to their Greek island as an apology for forgetting to emerge from the lab for the first part of the break between classes. (The Greek island had been a gift for something else. Steve tried not to think about it too hard. Sometimes he had to let Tony be Tony.)

The weather was hard to complain about: 80 with bright sun and a light breeze, perfect for laying out next to the pool wearing nothing but a smile (after going for a long, clothed, hike and having a big lunch because Steve had to be Steve, too). Sunscreen had been applied because even the super serum couldn't completely counter the Irishness, and Steve had a book about World War II that was getting enough wrong to keep him entertained.

Mmm, vacation. He tilted his head towards the door Tony had disappeared through a few minutes earlier. "How are the margaritas doing?" he called out.

"Plane," Tony replied firmly. "I'm not getting a ride from SHIELD, thank you."

"I don't think Patriot would like them anyway," Steve said.

"Because he has good taste," Tony replied. "I think my whole team is still on Maria Hill's shit list, honestly."

"It's pretty easy to get on her shit list," Steve said.

"Right?" So good to have universal constants.

"She's a little scary," Steve admitted.

[imafuturist]

"And that is why she's not allowed to meet our dog."

Patty didn't deserve it.

"She has to earn that cuteness like Jan and Nat have," Steve agreed.

"Exactly," Tony said with a nod.

[heroic_jawline]

"I guess we'll make the picnic after all," Steve said, heading for their plane.

"As long as jetlag doesn't get us," he sighed. Had it ever gotten them?

Dealing with jetlag was not fun to watch or read about, so no?

"We'll be fine," Steve said. "The buffet's always good."

"They better have coffee." He was a predictable man that way.

Steve laughed and kissed him. "They wouldn't dare run out," he said.

"I'll hold you to that," he teased, kissing Steve back.

"I just thought of something we can do to pass the time," Steve teased.

Tony laughed as the dog squirmed between them. "Find something for this guy and we can consider the mile high club."

Anthony Edward.

"I was going to suggest parchesi," Steve said virtuously, even as he was thinking of ways to contain Patriot safely.

"Uh huh," Tony replied, chuckling as they made their way to the private jet. A normal thing for your own private island, right?

It wasn't a $400 million flying palace, so Tony was showing restraint!

"Maybe Yahtzee."

Steve was rubbing off on him! Also, it was an older quinjet. So, autopilot fun times.

"Did you stash those on the plane, sweetheart?"

"Of course," Steve said. "And a deck of playing cards."

That last one was true.

"Remind me to find better games," Tony said with a laugh, letting Patty down in the jet.

Patty raced down the aisle, leaped into a seat, turned around three times and fell asleep immediately.

"Well," Steve said. "Guess an armed invasion really tuckered him out."

"Lucky man," Tony murmured, leaning in for a kiss.
