Steve had reached out to Natasha (through several layers of encryption and burner phones because Natasha, at least, understood how to lay low) and was now in his very best incognito outfit (beard, jeans, baseball cap, sunglasses) with Tony (in generally the same outfit), trying to appear casual as they walked around one of those giant outdoor outlet malls waiting for Natasha to make contact.

"She said she'd drop a pin with where she is in--" Steve glanced at his watch, "--eight and a half minutes. You've got the test with you?"

He'd asked that about four times already, but he was anxious.

Steve kissed him again, lingering in it and sliding his finger along Tony's beard. "Sure."

"Still here for you," Tony murmured, letting the moment continue to stretch out for them both.

Steve kissed lower on Tony's neck. "And I know this has kicked up bad memories for you, too," Steve murmured.

"I'm fine." He was not, in fact, fine. But that was Tony for you.

"Tell that to someone who doesn't know you this well," Steve said, tightening his hold on Tony.

"I'll... be fine," Tony corrected. So maybe don't be shocked if you get scanned a few times, Steve. Just to make sure.

Steve kissed him again. "I'll help you be fine just as soon as you feed me," he murmured.

"Go get settled," Tony said, kissing him back "I'll bring it up."

"Don't take too long," Steve said, leaning in for a long, soft kiss before heading for the stairs to go up.

Because the elevator was silly.

"There's an elevator!" Tony needlessly called after him.

"I don't need it!" Steve called back, voice growing fainter.

Tony snorted and shook his head as he waited for the pizza delivery. Then he used the elevator to go up to join Steve.

Because it was there.

Maybe Steve's superpower was taking the stairs, Tony.

Steve was waiting in the living room wearing only the sweatpants and a grin. "Pizza?"

"Pizza," Tony agreed, enjoying the view there for a moment.

Steve's lips quirked up. "Hi."

"Hi, yourself, Captain Handsome."

How the hell did Tony make that sound smooth? Was it the confidence?

It really was his magical power. Steve blushed. "Thought you'd like it."

"I like it very much," Tony said, putting the pizzas down to go over to put his hands all over him.

Steve sighed happily and pulled Tony into his lap. "You're easily distracted."

"You're distracting," Tony replied, going easily.

Steve slid his hands up along Tony's spine. "I suppose I'm not that hungry."

"Oh, you're hungry," Tony replied. "Just... a different kind."

Steve chuckled, still blushing. "Thinking of it as confirming who we are."

"I'm not opposed to that at all," he murmured, leaning in for a kiss.
