Steve had reached out to Natasha (through several layers of encryption and burner phones because Natasha, at least, understood how to lay low) and was now in his very best incognito outfit (beard, jeans, baseball cap, sunglasses) with Tony (in generally the same outfit), trying to appear casual as they walked around one of those giant outdoor outlet malls waiting for Natasha to make contact.

"She said she'd drop a pin with where she is in--" Steve glanced at his watch, "--eight and a half minutes. You've got the test with you?"

He'd asked that about four times already, but he was anxious.

Steve was just going to settle there for a long moment, then, and leave a bruise.

"More of that," he sighed.

Steve moved to another spot and bit down. "JARVIS, could we get some mood music, please?" he murmured.

"Mood music, huh?" Tony asked with a quiet laugh.

Well, there wasn't a movie on in the background for them to ignore.

"It's a little quiet," Steve said as JARVIS put on something instrumental and ignorable. "And I plan on taking my time--"

"Oh, I like that idea," Tony replied, tugging on Steve's hair.

"I thought you might," Steve said with a smile. "And we haven't really broken this sofa in properly--"

"You're right," Tony said with a little delighted laugh.

"I love that laugh," Steve admitted, smiling fondly at him.

"Well, it's for you here," Tony said, tugging him into another kiss. Because it was so sweet to say. And emotions hard.

"I love you so much," Steve said between kisses.

"Enough to try breaking another couch," he teased.

Steve laughed. "I'm definitely up for that."

"Yaaaay," Tony said, beaming at him.

"Gotta love the enthusiasm," Steve teased. "Glad you haven't gotten tired of me."

"How could I ever do that?" Tony asked.

Steve shrugged. "Sometimes I worry."

"Never," Tony insisted, pulling Sreve into a kiss.

Some part of Steve was always five foot nothing with a weak heart, and when he was truly worried, that old anxiety popped back up.

"Thank you."

"Never ever," Tony repeated just in case.

"Thank you," Steve repeated more sincerely, kissing Tony back.

"I'll be keeping you as long as you'll allow me to," Tony murmured, tugging on Steve's hair.

"For the rest of our lives," Steve promised.

"Deal," Tony said, kissing him intently.

"Of all of the yous there are, I pick you," he said fiercely, gripping Tony's hips.
