Stark Tower but Smallish [Sunday afternoon]

It had been weirdly awkward between Steve and Tony since the emotional baggage day. Tony had been working in the lab, Steve had been eating all the Moobyburgers working out, restocking the cheese fridge, and checking in with his colleagues at home.

But today, Father's Day, Steve was giving Tony another hour before going into the lab and dragging Tony out, feeding him, and making him talk. He missed them being them.

Tony's reaction was a little whine that implied he was still alive. But just barely.

"How do you want this one to end?" Steve murmured.

Ask silly questions, Steve.

"Fuck," Tony sighed. "In me. Please. Want you all over me."

Someone needed a little (a lot) of reassurance.

"I want that too," Steve murmured, giving Tony's ass a little squeeze.

"Yeah," Tony said, nodding and maybe just a little delirious still. "Please."

Delirious was good! He reached into the drawer for supplies.

"I've got you."

"All yours," he agreed, being able to think again. For now. Even if he was feeling like a live wire.

Steve didn't want too much thinking. He slicked his fingers up and checked on Tony.

Look, his brain worked fast. It was difficult to keep him shut off for long.

"Here, sweetheart," he sighed.

"Just checking," Steve said with a small chuckle and another squeeze to Tony's ass. It was very distracting, okay?

Tony would take that compliment gladly. He hummed, closing his eyes because more words were a lot when he could just enjoy Steve's touch.

"Beautiful man," Steve murmured, slicking himself up.

Tony hummed again, glancing back at him. "You are."

Steve blushed all the way down. "Not talking about me right now," he said.

"Still true," Tony replied with a pleased, relaxed smile. Which was probably a very nice difference from before.

That smile still got Steve's heart pounding. "God, I love you," he murmured, kissing Tony's shoulder as he moved in slowly. Today was about connection, and affirmation, and reminding Tony how cherished he was.

Tony continued to smile, dropping his head forward against the pillow as Steve pressed into him. It was the perfect amount of pressure both within and without as Steve covered him. "God, Steve..."

"Tony," Steve murmured, resting his head against Tony's back.

"Just like that," he sighed, pressing up to meet him. "God, I need you."

"I need you, too," Steve replied, keeping his hips smooth and steady. "This is your reminder."

Tony made a noise at that that wasn't quite broken, but it was in the same vein at hearing Steve say that.

Steve nipped down on the nape of Tony's neck. "I've got you."

"More," Tony asked, letting out a shaky breath.

[heroic_jawline]

"Oh, we're going slow," Steve murmured. "I wanna take you apart."

"Steve." That was both amazing and terrible at the same time.
