Stark Tower but Smallish [Sunday afternoon]

It had been weirdly awkward between Steve and Tony since the emotional baggage day. Tony had been working in the lab, Steve had been eating all the Moobyburgers working out, restocking the cheese fridge, and checking in with his colleagues at home.

But today, Father's Day, Steve was giving Tony another hour before going into the lab and dragging Tony out, feeding him, and making him talk. He missed them being them.

"Yeah?" Tony asked just as quietly.

"Don't try to be perfect," Steve said, meeting Tony's eyes. "Just be you. Trying to be perfect is exhausting."

Tony closed his eyes and let out a little sigh. "I'll do my best."

Steve kissed him softly. "Your best is more than enough."

"Holding you to that."

He absolutely would not.

Steve kissed him again. "You're mine," he said quietly. "I'm yours."

"I really like hearing that," Tony admitted with a pleased little sigh.

Steve slid his fingers through Tony's hair. "Oh, you're stuck with me."

"I like hearing that even more," he teased.

"Does it ruin it if I add you're a little stuck to me?" Steve asked.

Tony looked down. "Only in the way that we really need a shower."

Steve smiled. "Are your knees up to it?" he teased. "I tried to make 'em pretty wobbly."

"I have a very strong husband to keep me upright," Tony replied with a grin. "But maybe a quick rinse and then a bath is the plan."

"Do we have that nice bubble bath stuff still?" Steve asked.

"I keep it on order," Tony replied. Because he was a sugar daddy.

Steve looked touched. "Thank you."

"You like it," Tony said, leaning in for another kiss.

[heroic_jawline]

"I do," Steve said, smiling into the kiss.

He was always going to be touched by the little things.

"And that smile is precisely why I do it," Tony replied.

Steve's smile widened. "Really?"

Tony hummed in agreement, leaning in to kiss him again.

"I love seeing your soft squishy side," Steve admitted.

"Don't tell anyone." They'd never let him live it down.
