The Amazingly Awesome and Completely Necessary Ballroom, Stark Tower...let, Friday evening

It was mid-September, so that meant it was wholesome activities time, at least according to the targeted ads Steve was seeing, and so he decided that the best idea for the afternoon was to take Tony apple picking in Maryland.

A slightly competitive few hours later and he was bringing a truly ridiculous number of bushels of apples into the ballroom. "Do you need help with yours?" Steve asked, grinning over his shoulder at Tony.

Steve nodded. "That's probably a good idea. I'll go grab the rest of them."

"I love you!" Tony said for not having to go back for more himself.

"I know you do," Steve said, kissing him quickly on his way past. "What are we going to do with all of these?"

"Uhhh." Oh, look. Something Tony didn't have a plan for!

"You've got time to think about it!" Steve said reassuringly, heading for the stairs.

"Maybe we can donate some?" Look, he wasn't sure what would happen once they got competitive.

"Do people take apple donations?" Steve wondered. "Maybe at the vets' center."

"The pizza place maybe?" Tony suggested.

"I'm sure Raiden could use them," Steve said, smiling.

"Apple pizza," Tony said before breaking into helpless laughter. "God help us."

"I'm sure he'll make it taste delicious," Steve said.

"I'm certain you'd eat it," Tony settled on diplomatically.

"Well, you can't waste food," Steve said, nodding.

"Even if it horrifies New Yorkers," Tony agreed.

"Well, pizza is a religion of sorts," Steve said.

"I want to see you explain apples on pizza to people in Brooklyn," Tony replied gleefully.

"Lost a bet?" Steve tried, grinning.

"You'll be disowned," Tony informed him solemnly.

"There's a statue in my honor there," Steve countered.

"Maybe if you convince them that you were talking about a pie?"

"That could work," Steve agreed, smiling.
