Steve came into the shop and let his shield drop to the ground with a muted clang. He wiped at the dust on his face, then squared his shoulders with visible effort and called out, "Tony? You around?"

Another lead, another fruitless Bucky search, this time in stupidly muggy Singapore. Steve needed a shower, a pizza or three, and a nap.

And a hug, but he was kind of hoping he wouldn't need to ask for one of those.

"I'm back!" he added a little needlessly.

Well, it was just so hard to choose!

"I don't think I've used Snapchat," Steve said.

Also someone in the room ate more food than entire herd of teenagers.

"Good. Don't start. Jan tried to get the team on it and it ended with so many broken phones."

"Why?" Steve asked, pulling the nearest food container close and proceeding to inhale it.

"It turned into a contest," Tony said gravely.

"Did the Avengers get competitive?" Steve asked, laughing. "I'm shocked."

"I know, I never would have expected it either," Tony replied, serious demeanour cracking in an instant.

Steve shamelessly stole a bite of Tony's soup despite all the food ever being between them. "Who was the first to break their phone? Was it Thor?"

"Carol, actually," Tony replied, mouth twitching into a fond smile. "And it would have been a great selfie of her with a bunch of beat up Skrulls too. Shame about the laser gun destroying her phone."

"I already know the answer, but it wasn't your laser gun, was it, sweetheart?" Steve asked, laughing.

"Of course not," he replied with mock offense. "I mean. I might have built it. But it was Clint who shot her phone. If anyone asks, it was Clint. You have to back me up on that."

RIDE OR DIE, ROGERS.

Steve leaned in and kissed him, still chuckling. "I'll always back you up. Even when you're being a jackass."

Even if they were joking around, that sort of thing took Tony's breath away to hear. "Especially to win a ridiculous competition," Tony said, reaching up to hold Steve in place for another kiss.

"Obviously," Steve said, kissing him back with a little more true earnestness behind it.

They had a pile of food between them and of course got distracted with this.

"I will gladly return the favor anytime," Tony replied, putting what was left of his soup to the side so he could kiss Steve like he couldn't help himself.

Steve shivered and threaded his fingers through Tony's hair. "I know you will."

Tony smiled against his lips, grabbing onto Steve's shoulders to pull him closer. At some point he'd stop letting himself get so distracted by Steve's... everything. At some point, right?"

At some point! Possibly!

"We should eat before it gets cold," Steve murmured, sucking on Tony's lower lip.

"We should," Tony agreed completely, moving his hands up and around roughly grab onto Steve's hair.

Well. They had a microwave for a reason?

Steve moaned. Loudly. Jesus, way to short-circuit his brain. "Or we can reheat much, much later," he offered.

Tony grinned and nodded in agreement once again. "I love the noises you make," he said, shifting forward straddle Steve's lap.

Steve's hands went immediately to Tony's hips as he blushed all the way down his chest. "I'm learnin' that," he rumbled.

"You sound perfect," Tony said, shifting in place to feel Steve hard beneath him. "And to be the cause of it."

Well, there was the possessiveness.

Steve rubbed his cheek against Tony's face, enjoying the burn of the beard. "At the risk of giving you a big head," Steve said, sounding fond, "you're somethin' of a genius at getting me to react."

Tony huffed out a little laugh at that, tilting his head meet him. "You'll make me blush, Captain," he teased.

"That'll be a first," Steve teased back. "Normally that's all me."
