Stark Industries, Saturday afternoon

Steve came into the shop and let his shield drop to the ground with a muted clang. He wiped at the dust on his face, then squared his shoulders with visible effort and called out, "Tony? You around?"

Another lead, another fruitless Bucky search, this time in stupidly muggy Singapore. Steve needed a shower, a pizza or three, and a nap.

And a hug, but he was kind of hoping he wouldn't need to ask for one of those.

"I'm back!" he added a little needlessly.

Tony snickered, accepting the spoonful without complaint. It was sweet and novel to have Steve feed him like this. "Apologies."

"Accepted," Steve said, intending to kiss him quickly, and then lingering a moment.

Mm, cold mouth.

One that tasted like vanilla and chocolate too!

Tony didn't have any objections to w lingering kiss. In fact, he hummed a little, moving up to make it easier to accomplish.

"I will never get enough kisses from you," Steve murmured. "Could do this all day."

"That," Tony replied, trailing both habds through Steve's hair. "I can totally support."

"Aren't you very busy and important?" Steve said, nipping Tony's neck. "I'm sure you have other things to be doing."

"All work and no play," Tony replied, eyes fluttering shut. And thank god no one could see that to mock him for it.

"You are anything but dull," Steve murmured, sucking a slow bruise into Tony's skin.

Tony let out a shaky little groan, tightening his grip on Steve's hair. "You're sweet."

"I'm truthful," Steve said. "And grateful for all the idiots that didn't see how amazing you are when they had the chance."

Well, if his goal was to wring an honest to god blush out if Tony, he succeeded. Spectacularly. "I think I'll have to keep you," he said way too soft for the joke to land. Instead it just sounded hopeful.

Steve smiled at him, then reached out to touch Tony's face, running his fingers over the blush. "That was my plan," he whispered back.

Unfair, Rogers. He was the smooth one in this relationship.

Sort of.

"I feel like you used your tactical skills against me here." He did not sound upset about it, at least

Steve smiled and kissed him. "I use them when I want to get something right."

"I see how it is," Tony replied, biting at Steve's lip. You know. Helpfully.

Steve moaned. "God, you feel good."

"I bet you say that to all the geniuses you seduce," he teased, spreading his legs to straddle Steve rather than just lay sprawled against him.

Steve tried to put the ice cream down and ended up slopping some of the melted part onto his hand as he moved. "You're the only one I've tried it on, so yes, all of them," he said with a grin, then frowned down at his hand.

Tony grinned at him, reaching out to steady his hand before once again helping him out by licking the drip off.

He did promise that before. And he was a man of his word.

Steve's brain short-circuited. "Holy shit," he whispered, staring at Tony's mouth.

Did Tony need to make eye contact with him while doing this? Not really.

"You're making a mess," he chided, glancing down just long enough to take one of Steve's fingers into his mouth.

"Sorry?" Steve finally managed after two or three false starts where nothing came out of his mouth but a deeply pathetic little whimper.

"Why do I think you're not sorry at all?" Tony asked, moving a little so he could cup Steve through his sweatpants.

"Because you are extremely bright?" Steve offered, arching up into Tony's hand. "Jesus."

"I did want to lick chocolate off your stomach," he said, kindly rubbing him through the fabric in a slow, teasing circle.
