Stark Industries, Saturday afternoon

Steve came into the shop and let his shield drop to the ground with a muted clang. He wiped at the dust on his face, then squared his shoulders with visible effort and called out, "Tony? You around?"

Another lead, another fruitless Bucky search, this time in stupidly muggy Singapore. Steve needed a shower, a pizza or three, and a nap.

And a hug, but he was kind of hoping he wouldn't need to ask for one of those.

"I'm back!" he added a little needlessly.

"No," Steve said, kissing him firmly.

"Spoilsport," Tony grumbled, kissing him back.

"Only sometimes," Steve argued, still kissing him.

Which just made Tony chuckle and pluck the food between them up to put on the table so he could pull Steve in closer for more of that. Because he was greedy and clearly Steve had eaten enough, right? Right.

"I'm owed ice cream at some point," Steve teased, kissing the hollow of Tony's throat.

"You can have a whole pint to yourself," Tony promised, sighing and closing his eyes as he crossed his arms over Steve's shoulders to keep him close. "And we can put on Wall-E."

Steve smiled. "I love our dates at home."

Tony ducked his head and grinned as he pulled Steve into another kiss. "Haven't bored you yet, huh?"

"Never," Steve said, smiling back.

Tony kissed him again, once more trying to express everything that words just couldn't quite cover for him with a simple 'I love you.'

Steve eventually pulled back. "Movie and ice cream?" he suggested.

And couch makeouts because it's them.

"Help me put the takeout away and you're on," Tony said with a fond smile. "I'll even give you a scalp massage if you're good."

Steve let out a little sigh. Mmm, massages. "Deal," he said immediately, picking up a few empty cartons (mostly by him) and heading for the trashcan.

Tony stretched for a moment before padding into the kitchen to retrieve both ice cream and spoons. "We'll have to share, so don't be cruel to me," he called.

"I'll try to restrain myself," Steve said called back dryly, putting the rest of the food away.

Tony took a spoonful for himself as he returned to him. "And you might need to keep me warm," he added.

Oh no, not the cuddling.

Steve laughed as he wandered into the living room and flopped onto the sofa. "I was planning on serving as a human blanket so you could rub my head."

Tactical genius, y'know.

Tony was super impressed by that plan!

He deposited the ice cream container onto Steve's chest before taking a moment to give him a speculative look and deciding his best option was to use blanket himself over Steve. Helpfully.

"This is very helpful," Steve said, grinning up at him.

"I thought so," Tony replied, turning the movie on with a small wave of his hand. "I'll try not to drip ice cream on you."

"If you do, I'll make you lick it off."

That was not the disincentive you might be thinking, Steve.

Yeeeeah. Tony's eyelids dropped a little and he hummed in approval of that idea. "Alright."

Steve smiled up at him again. "Did I lose you there for a second?"

"Just a little," Tony said, pressing a kiss to Steve's chest.

Steve ruffled Tony's hair in reply. "JARVIS, can you start the film for us, please?"
