Steve hadn't gone back to Manhattan for the good Chinese food but he was definitely using dinner to bribe Tony out of the lab again. He poked his into the lab and held up the bag of Thai food. "If you want any of the chicken satay, you need to put your work down for ten minutes," he said, smiling. "Patriot smelled the peanut sauce and is getting very pushy."

"An estimate," Steve repeated, laughing.

"I'm prone to those from time to time," he replied, giving Steve a little push.

Steve laughed again. "Are you? I've never noticed."

"But right now, this table is doing nothing for my back and we have a much more comfortable couch to sit on upstairs," Tony said, beaming at him still.

Steve kissed him one last time before pulling him up to a sitting position. "You genius."

"Why, thank you," Tony said, stretching for a moment to pop his lower back.

"You're welcome," Steve said, fixing his pants and retrieving the now-cold dinner.

"And if you're good, we can go again there," Tony said, trying to get himself in order enough to make it upstairs.

Steve blushed while he grinned. "Yes?"

"After we eat. And change clothes." Oh, because getting dressed again was anything more than a formality.

Steve grinned. "You're done with the lab for the night?"

"I've been convinced." Via filthy sex and food.

Steve grinned. "I'm very glad to hear that. Race you upstairs?"

"Oh, I'm on the elevator," Tony replied sweetly. "Unless you wanted to race the armor."

"I don't want to race the armor," Steve said, grinning, "but I'll race the elevator."

"You just want an easy win," Tony grumbled, a slight hitch in his step that meant the elevator was a godsend after their activities.

Steve only looked a little pleased with himself to watch Tony walk away. "Give you a reason to increase the speed of the elevator, you mean."

"Just a little faster!" Tony shouted back at him, pressing the button to call the elevator.

Steve was polite enough to wait for the elevator to arrive before taking off up the stairs. It was only fair!

How kind of him! Even though he was definitely beating the elevator up the stairs since Tony had been constrained by legalities. Which seemed rude.

Steve was definitely lounging by where the elevator came up, smiling.

"You could have been reheating the food and not gloating," Tony remarked with a little sniff.

"I didn't have that much time," Steve said with a laugh.

"How long were you waiting exactly?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow.

"A couple of minutes," Steve said.
