Steve hadn't gone back to Manhattan for the good Chinese food but he was definitely using dinner to bribe Tony out of the lab again. He poked his into the lab and held up the bag of Thai food. "If you want any of the chicken satay, you need to put your work down for ten minutes," he said, smiling. "Patriot smelled the peanut sauce and is getting very pushy."

Tony tsked him, curling an arm around Steve's waist. "You're a cruel man."

"Never," Steve protested, leaning into Tony.

Tony chuckled and leaned back. "I think we managed to finish everything."

Which was more of an accomplishment for Tony than for Steve.

"I can make popcorn if you're still hungry," Steve teased.

"Popcorn and a movie?" he suggested.

"It's a date," Steve said. "Go pick the movie, and I'll be right behind you."

With JARVIS supervising the popcorn.

"Thank you, darling," Tony said, letting go of him reluctantly to get whatever ridiculous romcom was next on Steve's queue pulled up.

"It's just popcorn," Steve said.

"You're cooking!" Tony called back, laughing. Because, for them? Cooking.

"I'm basically a chef," Steve agreed.

"I'm impressed," Tony promised. "Deeply."

Steve grinned. "Give me four minutes and then you can be even more impressed."

Tony laughed and settled in on the couch to let him work on it.

And Steve ambled into the living room with a bowl of unburnt popcorn and a grin like he'd just marched triumphantly into Paris.

"I didn't burn it at all," Steve boasted.

Tony ooo-ed in appreciation. "Because that smell never fades."
