Tony's Lab [Avengers Tower But Make it Bitty, Thursday Night]

Steve hadn't gone back to Manhattan for the good Chinese food but he was definitely using dinner to bribe Tony out of the lab again. He poked his into the lab and held up the bag of Thai food. "If you want any of the chicken satay, you need to put your work down for ten minutes," he said, smiling. "Patriot smelled the peanut sauce and is getting very pushy."

"That's probably a good idea," Steve said.

"They're honestly getting better about it." The smallest of improvements. And yet Tony wouldn't make any major changes to their programming.

"I'm glad to hear it," Steve said with an earnest smile.

"I think JARVIS is trying to train them to deal with Beaker."

Steve winced. "Ow. My brain just recoiled at the potential combinations."

"I'll keep an eye on it." It was cute that JARVIS found himself an archnemesis, though.

"Good idea," Steve agreed, reaching for what was left of the red curry chicken.

Tony shuffled closer, food in hand to lean into his space as they ate. Because it was just a nice little moment with him.

Steve smiled over at him. "Hi," he said. "You missed me?"

"Always," Tony replied, pressing a kiss to Steve's shoulder.

Steve's smile turned sweeter. "You're in a better mood now that you've eaten something."

"Is this about the coffee thing? Because I didn't mean it."

Well. Not after eating he didn't.

"Not entirely," Steve said. "You're also snuggly."

"You're comfortable like this," Tony said, leaning into him a little more. "All dressed up in my stuff."

"You noticed that?" Steve teased.

"It's subtle," he teased back.

"Well, it's your logo," Steve teased back. "It's very subtle."

Tony tsked him, curling an arm around Steve's waist. "You're a cruel man."

"Never," Steve protested, leaning into Tony.

Tony chuckled and leaned back. "I think we managed to finish everything."

Which was more of an accomplishment for Tony than for Steve.

"I can make popcorn if you're still hungry," Steve teased.

"Popcorn and a movie?" he suggested.

"It's a date," Steve said. "Go pick the movie, and I'll be right behind you."

With JARVIS supervising the popcorn.

"Thank you, darling," Tony said, letting go of him reluctantly to get whatever ridiculous romcom was next on Steve's queue pulled up.

So many hidden princes in that queue.

"It's just popcorn," Steve said.
