Tony's Lab [Avengers Tower But Make it Bitty, Thursday Night]

Steve hadn't gone back to Manhattan for the good Chinese food but he was definitely using dinner to bribe Tony out of the lab again. He poked his into the lab and held up the bag of Thai food. "If you want any of the chicken satay, you need to put your work down for ten minutes," he said, smiling. "Patriot smelled the peanut sauce and is getting very pushy."

"Do I need to ask JARVIS?" Steve asked.

"Don't you have a shower to take?"

"I can ask JARVIS and shower at the same time," Steve said. "Will I be disappointed by the answer?"

"Fine, I'll drink water," Tony said like it was a punishment and a crime against God to do to him.

"I'm listening to your words and not your tone," Steve said with a grin, heading for the shower.

"If that will make you feel better!" Steve called back, laughing.

Tony grumbled a little more, but dutifully got himself water to hydrate like a real human being. And he turned out to be hungrier than he realized once he got into the food.

Steve came back into the kitchen in a sleeveless undershirt and a pair of Stark branded sweatpants because two could play the same game. "You were hungry," he noted with a small smile.

Almost like Tony hadn't stopped inventing for a few days or something. Weird.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "Thank you," he said, rummaging for the satay.

"I didn't eat all of it," Tony said quickly. Because it was a near thing once he got started.

Steve leaned in to kiss Tony's cheek. "We can order more if you're still hungry."

It wouldn't be the first time, though it was normally for Steve.

"I really need to stock a mini fridge down in the lab." Steve would have less methods of luring him out, though.

"But would the bots try to get in and feed you?" Steve asked.

"...only a little." God help him.

Steve made a little yikes face. "How's that going to go?"

"I'm thinking... child locks?" Because it would probably work on them too.

"That's probably a good idea," Steve said.

"They're honestly getting better about it." The smallest of improvements. And yet Tony wouldn't make any major changes to their programming.

"I'm glad to hear it," Steve said with an earnest smile.

"I think JARVIS is trying to train them to deal with Beaker."
