Stark Tower But Shrunken, Saturday morning

The party had been a success, and Steve and Tony had fallen into bed and slept hard for the next nine hours.

Tony was still asleep, but Steve had woken up hungry and had headed into the kitchen on the search for leftovers. He was now surrounded by eggs, chopped up onions, leftover roasted boar, and slight wafting of smoke because the omelet pan had gotten entirely too hot. The smoke alarm hadn't gone off, but he was pretty sure JARVIS was going to tattle on him soon. He hoped he would be able to counter Tony's sleepy grumpiness by feeding him leftover cake--and strong, boozy coffee--for breakfast while he cleaned up.

"We can do it just like that show!" Steve said.

"We can research fun recipes!" That they super never tried before now.

As long as they didn't do Mexican Week, it'd be fine, right?

"They have to make pie, right? But normal pie. No meat or fish."

If they did Mexican Week, they'd still make it better. Still.

"The meat pies are so weird," Tony whispered like it needed to be done that way. For fear of judgement.

"And we did that engineering and food class before so we're already good at this!"

Look, sometimes they needed to learn the hard way.

Steve leaned in for a kiss. "I'll take it to the moose."

"You are the best," Tony said, kissing him back. "The very best."

"Well, I know you hate paperwork," Steve teased.

"It's just so boring," he whined like it would fix things.

"But things have to be written down," Steve said. "Not everyone can remember everything."

Tony didn't stomp his foot like a sulky toddler, but it was a near thing. "Well, I'm glad you're willing to make the sacrifice of doing it."y

Steve grinned and kissed him again. "Part of our partnership."

"Also, you get to deal with the moose in case things go wrong." Tony, no!

"I'm not afraid to punch a moose if I need to," Steve said.

"And that," Tony said with a kiss. "Is why I love you."

"Because I'll punch a moose?" Steve asked.

"To save me from the evils of paperwork." It was so romantic!

Steve grinned. "Whatever makes you happy," he teased.

"Well, that's you," Tony said, hooking his arms over Steve's shoulders for a kiss. (Yes, still holding onto his coffee)

Steve blushed. "I love you, too. Did you have fun at the party?"

"I wish we'd had more time to enjoy it together, but yes."

But that happened with a large group and you were hosting.

"Didn't even get to use the dance floor."

"Finish breakfast and we can go down and dance now," Steve said.

"Oh, you've made my day," Tony said with one more kiss.

Steve smiled. "I'm so glad. Plus we can see all the decorated trees!"
