Mini-Avengers Tower (Now Complete With Mini-Avenger), Saturday morning

Okay, so Steve was completely lost. And maybe (not that he'd admit it) a little winded from walking all over trying to find the kitchen. He took a left instead of a right at the end of the hallway and found the elevator.

"THIS IS SWELL!" he yelled as the doors opened and he stepped in and mashed all of the buttons to light them up.

That was Steve's day sorted until Tony found him or he got dizzy going up and down...

Thank god for JARVIS, really.

"Steve?" Why, yes. Yes, Tony was carrying another sweater to try giving to Steve so he didn't waste away like some kind of Dickensian orphan.

"Yes?" Steve replied, looking incredibly guilty.

"You doing okay in there?" Meaning the elevator.

[heroic_jawline]

"It goes really fast, mister!"

Which was going to end so badly for Steve's stomach eventually, especially since he stopped on each floor.

"Well, maybe we take a break," Tony suggested helpfully. "I have some nice stuff for you to wear and some food."

That JARVIS promised was safe for Steve to eat. You little mess of illnesses and allergies, Steve.

"Food?" Steve asked hopefully. "I couldn't find the kitchen even though I looked forever."

At least ten minutes, Tony. That's forever when you're short.

"Well, it's a new layout," Tony assured him, offering a hand to take.

[heroic_jawline]

"It's so big," Steve said, wide-eyed. "Not as good as the Empire State Building though."

Because Steve was gonna Steve.

"Well, we can't get something that big here." Because Steve said so.

And the zoning board.

"Why not?" Steve asked.

Younger Steve didn't know about zoning boards.

"Rules," Tony said in a tone that implied it was silly adult stuff.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve wrinkled his nose. "That's no fun at all."

"Right?" He was shamelessly using this against you later, Steve.

[heroic_jawline]

Steve nodded solemnly. "I think it could be a little taller."

Steve should not go on the roof.

"I thought so too," Tony replied solemnly. "But, alas. I was voted down."

Tiny Steve wasn't going to hit you with a semi-ironic platitude about democracy, and adult Steve would be sad about it. "That's sad," Steve said earnestly. "Can't you try again?"

"I'll see what I can do on Monday," Tony said sweetly. Because you told him to do this, Steve!

[heroic_jawline]

"Ma always says that it never hurts to ask," Steve said in just the thickest Brooklyn accent, nodding.

"Very wise woman, your mother," Tony said, leading him to the kitchen with ease now that he too knew where it was.

Steve nodded. "She's the best," he said. "She makes the best oatmeal."

[imafuturist]

"I... had a butler who did that," Tony said, knowing just how weird that sounded. "But I think I can manage oatmeal."

[heroic_jawline]

"A butler?" Steve repeated. "Do you have one now too?"

[imafuturist]

"He's virtual now." Anthony, don't say stuff like that to someone from the Great Depression.

[heroic_jawline]

"Virtual?" Steve repeated. "What's that?"

"Well." Oh, explaining that. "It's like a person that we make that's not physical."
