Steve headed through the door, smiling at Tony. "Okay, engineering genius. How'd they get the bus into that room?" he asked, reaching up to loosen the tie on his uniform.

Steve leaned in and kissed him. "Slowly, with you watching me."

"Yes," Steve murmured, "but only if you're okay with that."

"Very okay," Tony assured him, tugging Steve into another kiss.

Steve kissed him back fervently, eventually spreading him out against the pillows and smiling down at him. "Gorgeous."

Tony responded with that small, private smile that Steve dragged on out of him with the power of his sincerity in moments like this. "You're perfect, you know that?"

Steve laughed. "I'm hardly perfect, but thank you."

"You are," Tony replied, reaching up to brush a thumb over Steve's cheek. "Bad taste in protein powder and all."

Steve leaned into Tony's hand and smiled softly. "I adore you."

Tony arched up to kiss him again. Because why not be complete saps to break things up sometimes?

His hand slid down and cupped Tony's ass. "Not too sore?" he checked.

Tony hissed, but kissed him again anyway. "Might need something after, but it's good right now."

"I'll take such good care of you," Steve promised, kissing him again.

"You already are," Tony replied, smiling into the kiss.

Steve smiled back. "Good," he murmured.

Something inside him unclenched when Tony looked so happy.

"Make good on your promises, Captain Rogers," he teased, scratching his nails over Steve's neck.

Steve hissed lightly. "I never break a promise," he said, laughing and reaching for the lube.

Tony nipped at his bottom lip one more time before relaxing back on the bed. As much as he could with the abused skin on his bottom stinging on the fabric beneath him, that was.

Steve smiled again, sliding a slicked-up finger slowly into Tony.

Which didn't help with the wriggling around in the slightest as he anticipated more of that. "C'mon..."

"Just checking," Steve murmured, biting down an a bruise he'd left on Tony's throat.
