Stark Tower But Shrunken, Saturday morning

The party had been a success, and Steve and Tony had fallen into bed and slept hard for the next nine hours.

Tony was still asleep, but Steve had woken up hungry and had headed into the kitchen on the search for leftovers. He was now surrounded by eggs, chopped up onions, leftover roasted boar, and slight wafting of smoke because the omelet pan had gotten entirely too hot. The smoke alarm hadn't gone off, but he was pretty sure JARVIS was going to tattle on him soon. He hoped he would be able to counter Tony's sleepy grumpiness by feeding him leftover cake--and strong, boozy coffee--for breakfast while he cleaned up.

"Of course," Tony replied without hesitation. "Maybe also get some pictures of the dog on there."

"And my family picture of you and Thor," Steve added. Because he was a little shit.

"You are mean, but I? I look fabulous even as a cat." It was honestly Thor who needed to worry.

"You really did," Steve admitted with a chuckle. "You were not pleased with the sweater, though."

"The fabric was poor quality!"

"They don't make cashmere cat sweaters that I am going to buy," Steve said.

"Well maybe next time." Again, no.

Steve leaned in and kissed him. "No."

"Are you saying I shouldn't get the finest materials for any future dog sweaters for you?" Tony said between kisses.

"I am absolutely saying I don't want to wear a dog sweater," Steve said.

"But if it were necessary for the good of the island." And for pictures.

"When would that be necessary?" Steve asked.

"I don't make the rules on this island," Tony said like that was an answer.

Steve laughed. "Fine. If it's a matter of the island's survival, only then can you put me into an expensive dog sweater."

"Thank you." Clearly it would come down to that. At some point.

"Do not go about making this a reality on purpose, please," Steve said with another kiss.

"I'd never," Tony said, kissing him back. And if you believed that, he had a bridge to sell you.

"Don't ask Liliana to do you a favor, either," Steve added.

"...now you're just twisting my arm," Tony grumbled.

"I just know you, sweetheart," Steve said.

"Well enough to have made extra coffee?" Of course he had, but Tony had to tease him.

Steve smiled. "Of course, but you'll have to add holiday cheer to it yourself."

Tony hummed and kissed him again. "Why, thank you, darling."

"We have extra," Steve said.

"Mmm, my hero," Tony said, finishing his cup to get more.
