Stark Tower But Shrunken, Saturday morning

The party had been a success, and Steve and Tony had fallen into bed and slept hard for the next nine hours.

Tony was still asleep, but Steve had woken up hungry and had headed into the kitchen on the search for leftovers. He was now surrounded by eggs, chopped up onions, leftover roasted boar, and slight wafting of smoke because the omelet pan had gotten entirely too hot. The smoke alarm hadn't gone off, but he was pretty sure JARVIS was going to tattle on him soon. He hoped he would be able to counter Tony's sleepy grumpiness by feeding him leftover cake--and strong, boozy coffee--for breakfast while he cleaned up.

"Let's make sure all the paintings are secure first," Tony settled on. "But I love where your head's at."

"I'd never forgive myself if I broke a Monet with a fruitcake," Steve admitted.

"I'll get to work on safety covers for them," Tony promised immediately.

Steve grinned. "We have the best dates."

This was so much more them than Rockefeller Center.

"Fighting baked goods?" Tony asked with a laugh.

"The chances of them stopping to monologue about defeating the Avengers is extremely low," Steve said gleefully.

"But I have a bingo card for that!" Look, it was just what you did after a while.

Steve laughed. "Of course you do."

"Last time I almost won." He baited some of the comments, though.

Steve leaned in to steal a coffee-tinged kiss. "Of course you did."

Tony hummed, enjoying the kiss. "Maybe next time you can win."

"I have a good feeling about my chances," Steve said with a grin.

"No cheating." They'd both cheat.

"Would I do that?"

100 percent he would, but only against Tony. And Bucky. And Thor. And Clint.

"Oh, darling. Of course you would," Tony replied sweetly, leaning in for another kiss.

"Only sometimes," Steve said.

"So, when I take you to play pool..." he began playfully.

[heroic_jawline]

"That's just my innate knowledge of angles and ricochets," Steve said. "They deserve what they get."

Tony hummed, running his fingers along Steve's chest. "I'm just saying that I would find it very attractive to watch you hustle people at pool."

"While you ogle me while I lean over?" Steve asked.

"I'm not ogling." He was ogling. "I'm admiring my husband!"

[heroic_jawline]

"The rear end part of your husband," Steve said dryly.

[imafuturist]

"All of you deserves admiration," Tony insisted. "And some bits are just more obvious."

Steve laughed, blushing. "Thank you?"

"Because you've never come into the lab to admire," Tony added.
