Apartment Above Stark Industries, Monday afternoon

Steve was supposed to be in upstate New York right now, but a series of, um, illuminating text messages from Tony had made him change plans on Sunday.

And now here he was in bed, drinking Gatorade, looking for sofa replacements on his phone and trying not to die of blushing.

Tony froze, giving the bed a bemused look. "Okay, so spare bed tonight."

Steve laughed. "We're going to be camping on the floor by the end of the week, aren't we."

"A pillow fort might be fun!" Tony insisted.

Steve kissed him again, grinning. "Can we make out in a pillow fort?"

"That's a given," Tony assured him.

That fort was doomed. "After the bath," Steve said. "We can move the sofa and watch a movie."

"I love that plan," Tony said, beaming at him as he offered a hand to pull Steve along to the bathroom.

Steve happily took Tony's hand and headed to their giant bathroom. "Bubbles?"

"What would be the fun in a bubble-free bath?" Tony asked, only letting go of Steve's hand to find towels for them and the bubble bath for Steve to use.

"Well, there are other things to do in a bath," Steve said, grinning.

"Whatever could you have in mind, Captain Rogers?" Tony asked, stepping in close.

"Snacks," Steve said, all wide-eyed innocence.

"Oh, a very good idea," Tony agreed. "I think we might even have some chocolate still."

Hidden in the back of the kitchen.

Steve's eyes lit up. "I'd love some chocolate."

His stomach made vaguely embarrassing gurgle noises in agreement.

Tony laughed as he leaned in to kiss him. "Get the bsth started. I'll see what I can dig up."

And have JARVIS order something.

And that way Steve could boil like a crab and then the water would cool to Tony temperatures!

Steve happily steamed up the entire bathroom as he filled the tub and added bubbles.

Tony returned with what he could scrounge up that was chocolatey and filling enough to tide Steve over while their order went out. "You look cozy."

Steve smiled softly. "I'm very cozy, but I'd love some company."

Tony hummed and tested the water with his hand. "I'll feed you first and then get in," he decided.

Because that was a lobster boil, steve.

Mmmm, warm.

"Did I hear you ordering?" Steve asked hopefully.

"Italian," Tony replied, nodding, offering him a bite of chocolate in the meantime. "Since we're burning so many calories, I thought carb loading might help you out."

Steve sighed happily. "I love you so much."

"For the chocolate, right?" Tony asked with a teasing grin.

[heroic_jawline]

"Not just that, but it helps," Steve teased back, leaning in for a kiss.

Tony stretched over the edge of the tub for that kiss. And lingering only a little bit for the taste of chocolate there.
