Secret Garden Restaurant, Zanzibar

Steve had done research (ie: asked the front desk at their resort) and that's how he and Tony were in a tiny, tucked-away little restaurant sipping cocktails and listening to Zanzibari-inspired jazz.

Not a bad way to spend a night at all.

"Let me guess," Tony said, looking over the menu. "You picked this for the seafood feast."

Steve laughed. "I don't even know what a slipper lobster is," he said, "but I'm sure it's delicious."

"I'm guessing it looks like a slipper?" Tony said, trying very hard to picture that.

"Maybe I saw it while I was oh so handwavily snorkeling today," Steve mused. "Hopefully not this particular one."

"That would be disturbing," Tony agreed. "Unless this was a farm to table sort of thing."

[heroic_jawline]

"Do you normally go to a farm to pick out what ends up on the table?" Steve asked, looking a little weirded out. "That sounds traumatic."

"I think the cooks do for those places," Tony replied. "And there are definitely seafood markets where you pick which one you want to eat."

Steve liked his stuff covered in plastic and bought at the butcher's, all comforting and not animal shaped.

"Do you think this place is like that?" Steve asked. "Will we get to name our slipper lobster before it gets it?"

"We can see if that's the case." Tony was naming that lobster 'Bill' for literally no reason other than liking the name.

Poor Billy. So tasty, so doomed.

Steve laughed. "I'll have another drink and then I won't care."

"Oh, cocktails we can do," Tony assured him, lifting his up to a toast.

"These are really very tasty," Steve said.

He meant "strong."

Which was why Tony grinned and tapped his glass against Steve's. "Very 'tasty' yes."

Steve grinned back. "It's been a good week."

"A great vacation," Tony agreed, nudging him under the table with his foot.

"Which bed did you like best?" Steve asked.

[imafuturist]

"Oh, last hotel was great," Tony said with a grin.

[heroic_jawline]

"Sleeping under the stars was swell," Steve agreed.

"What about you?" Tony asked.

[heroic_jawline]

"The fish are really neat, but I think I like the stars better," Steve agreed.

"As camping was intended," he teased.

[heroic_jawline]

"Everywhere but Austria," Steve agreed, grinning.

"Austria being the outlier," Tony agreed.

"I'm very disappointed in them," Steve said with a snicker.

"You know, we could always correct it this summer." Tony, no.
