Steve headed through the door, smiling at Tony. "Okay, engineering genius. How'd they get the bus into that room?" he asked, reaching up to loosen the tie on his uniform.

Tony took a breath and nodded, blinking away tears in his eyes. "Just--just like that."

"Oh, sweetheart," Steve said, spotting the tears, "let it all out."

Then he smacked him again.

He took a deep breath, tears spilling out as he tried to focus the texture of Steve's pants and the heat of his reddening skin. "Keep going."

"Tell me when to stop," Steve said, then started up a tempo with his hand that left room for Tony to call it off before the next blow landed.

It took a few more before Tony was holding up a shaky hand for him to stop as he didn't quite trust his voice. It was the right sort of pain and emotional release that he could trust Steve with. And that meant so very much.

"C'mere," Steve murmured, pulling Tony up and cuddling him tightly. "You are so, so good."

Which made Tony's shoulders shake as he clutched back at Steve. "Love you," he mumbled.

"I know you do," Steve said, cradling Tony's head against his chest. "I love you, too. Did you get what you needed?"

Tony nodded, not about to let him go anytime soon. "Gonna feel that for days."

"Good," Steve murmured, kissing his hair. "Remind you I'm always here for what you need."

"What about you?" he sighed, sounding all happy and sated for the moment.

"Oh, I'm absolutely going to fuck you," Steve murmured, blushing.

"However you like," Tony murmured with another pleased, lazy smile pressed into Steve's throat.

Steve leaned in and kissed him. "Slowly, with you watching me."

"Is that so?"

[heroic_jawline]

"Yes," Steve murmured, "but only if you're okay with that."

"Very okay," Tony assured him, tugging Steve into another kiss.

Steve kissed him back fervently, eventually spreading him out against the pillows and smiling down at him. "Gorgeous."

Tony responded with that small, private smile that Steve dragged on out of him with the power of his sincerity in moments like this. "You're perfect, you know that?"

Steve laughed. "I'm hardly perfect, but thank you."

"You are," Tony replied, reaching up to brush a thumb over Steve's cheek. "Bad taste in protein powder and all."

Steve leaned into Tony's hand and smiled softly. "I adore you."

Tony arched up to kiss him again. Because why not be complete saps to break things up sometimes?

Steve sighed happily into the kiss. "Mine," he murmured.

"Yours," he agreed readily.
